Oilheat Equipment Rebates massachusetts

Rebate season is here! If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your oilheat system or installing a new heating oil storage tank in your Massachusetts home, now’s the time to take action.

You may be concerned about the cost of replacing an older heating system, and that’s understandable. Here’s the good news: your local retailer can help ease the installation costs with a rebate on your new boiler or furnace, as well as your tank.

The details

Starting May 18, homeowners can receive rebates of up to $400 when they upgrade their oilheat system or storage tank. In order to qualify, systems must be higher efficiency than the one being replaced. Here are the rebate details:

The funds for these rebates are available to Massachusetts homeowners only, on a first-come, first-served basis.

About both rebates

Over the past three years, thousands of Massachusetts homeowners have upgraded their systems through the Mass Save program and through a program operated by the Massachusetts Energy Marketers Association (MEMA) and the National Oilheat Research Alliance (NORA). Beyond the built-in savings listed below, eligible customers are guaranteed the peace of mind that comes with their new, highly efficient oilheat equipment—and you can’t put a price on that.

More about the program

The Discover Efficiency Massachusetts program has two goals:

  1. To improve energy efficiency and safety by making it easier to install high-efficiency heating oil/Bioheat equipment, and
  2. Promote awareness and educate customers about the benefits of ultra-low sulfur heating oil blended with clean, renewable Bioheat.

Note: Work must be completed after the May 18 program’s start date. Rebates will not be granted for any work performed prior to May 18.
