The 2018 MEMA-National Oilheat Research Alliance (NORA) equipment rebate program has been very successful once again. This year’s program has been on a record-setting pace.
These phenomenal results, however, have led to allocated rebate funds being rapidly depleted. Because of such high demand, rebate applications can only be honored through Friday, July 13, 2018. If you have already replaced your system and your heating oil dealer submits your rebate application by that date, it will be processed in regular order.
MEMA is firmly committed to making additional rebate funds available in 2019, provided that the NORA program is reauthorized by the U.S. Congress. The MEMA Board of Directors will make a determination about the exact time that new rebates will be made available once there is clarity about NORA’s reauthorization.
In the meantime, heating oil companies throughout the state have already helped more than 2,000 customers upgrade to new, higher efficiency oil heating systems or new storage tanks in the past two years, providing them with immediate savings as high as $600.
We’re proud that we have contributed to making such a positive difference for so many Massachusetts oilheat customers.
